John McDwyer marks another milestone in his playwriting career with the launch of his new book, For the Craic, at The Glens Arts Centre on Tuesday 17th November at 8pm. On the night, his longtime friend Hubert McMorrow will officially launch the book.

For the Craic brings together three of John's hugely successful comedies: The Pension Plan, Unforgiven and Turning Mammy. The collection follows continuing demand for the scripts from theatre companies around Ireland. The Pension Plan has recently had its rights purchased by a professional company in the south of Ireland for the next two years and is also contracted to Pure Mule Theatre company for its tour next summer.

Following the launch, John will reunite members of Beezneez Theatre Company, which he founded and led as Artistic Director for 28 years, to perform a scene from each of the three plays. Afterwards, For the Craic will be on sale at the special launch price of €15, with John on hand to sign copies. Tickets are €10 and booking is strongly advised.
