BEEZNEEZ THEATRE PRESENTS CHAPTER 2 BY NIALL SIMONS
with Deirdre O’Meara, Gerry Farrelly and Donna McDermott
Beezneez present Neil Simon’s beautiful play Chapter Two. Both heartbreaking and hilarious, Chapter Two tells the story of George Schneider who, trying to come to grips with the death of his wife, is introduced by his meddling brother, Leo, to a recently divorced actress, Jennie. It’s love at first sight and a marriage quickly follows - a little too quickly. As George wrestles with feelings of guilt and sorrow, Jennie tries to save the marriage while brother Leo, tries manfully and hilariously to have an affair with Jennie’s friend, Faye. Directed by John McDwyer, Chapter Two is guaranteed to provide a beautiful evening’s theatre

LIZ AND YVONNE KANE
From Letterfrack, Connemara, Sisters Liz and Yvonne Kane are “fiddle players of an extraordinary calibre” - Folkroots. Their style is considered to be heavily influenced by South Sligo Fiddle playing, the music of East Galway and in particular the compositions and fiddle playing of Paddy Fahey. The recordings of Michael Coleman, Hughie Gillespie, Andy McGann and Kathleen Collins have also made an impact on their music. Together Liz and Yvonne create a highly exiting and vibrant sound and the pair have just released their second album Under The Diamond. 9pm. Adm: 12/10

GALLOGLASS THEATRE COMPANY Presents THE SANCTUARY LAMP BY TOM MURPHY starring FRANK KELLY, DOUGLAS McFERRAN, DAVID GORRY and ELAINE O’DEA
This is one of Tom Murphy’s most powerful plays. Three lost and damaged people occupy a city church for a night. Harry, a former circus strongman; Francisco, a juggler and Harry’s best friend; and Maudie, a sixteen years old waif. Betrayed by his best friend, and his wife, and grieving over the death of his daughter, Harry seeks to assuage his pain, his guilt and his feelings of murderous intent. Despite their desperate circumstances, their individual stories enthrall, horrify and amuse.

SAT 16TH JULY: TUDO CONCORDA
Tudo Concorda are Cecilia Siquiera and Fernando Lima, from Sa Paolo, Brazil. With their innovative style of guitar incorporating a variety of genres from classical to jazz to popular Brazilian music, the duo have graced venues and festivals throughout Latin America, the USA and Europe. Including prestigious venues in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, France, Belgium England, Italy, and Hungary.
They won first prize at the International Acoustic Guitar competition held at Caxias do Sul in Brazil in 2001 and have since then played at many international festivals receiving great critical acclaim wherever they play..
Think of a classically trained Brazilian version of Rodrigo Y Gabriela and you'll get an idea of what's in store in this fantastic evening of music!

Glens Players on Tour!
The Glens Players bring At The Black Pigs Dyke by Vincent woods to the Balor Theatre, Ballybofey ( Sat 28th May) and to An Taibhdhearc, Galway ( Fri 3rd & Sat 4th June) before returning to the Glens in Mid August as part of our ten year anniversary celebrations. Bí linn!
