Join us for the premiere of this searing autobiographical drama by Joni Crone. We are proud to say she wrote it while writer-in-residence in the Glens Centre. The play, directed by Splodar’s Prin Duignan, charts a woman’s struggle for a basic human right and her quest for inner peace. Despite public, private and familial opposition, she bravely perseveres and eventually emerges victorious. Anna Livia Lesbia shines a light into some of the murky corners of Irish society in the 1970s and 80s but it also celebrates the idealism, courage and comradeship of a small group who see their dream come true and their dedication rewarded. The play, which has a cast of twelve, features a number of original songs composed by the author.
