The Full Shillin is a new band formed by old friends. They have all played together professionally through the years and informally at sessions in Aras Chrónáin in Clondalkin, Dublin, but never as a group at the same time.
Multi instrumentalist Claire Sherry is the Swiss army knife of the group. If she had more than one set of hands she could do a whole gig on her own. She has played on numerous albums, most recently with Niamh Ní Charra. She has played at the 3 Arena with Olly Murs and is a multiple all Ireland winner and at the Pan Celtic Festival.
Anna Mary Donaghy on fiddle is a very busy musician. She plays regularly with Billy Treacy and the Scope, piper and composer Eoin Dillon, playing on his new album and on the world premiere of his composition ‘Tearmann’ on RTE radio during lockdown. Performing highlights include The Olympia Theatre, Croke Park and most recently Glasgow’s famous Barrowlands .She has lots of recording experience most recently on X factor Janet Devlin’s album Confessional which was released last year.
Guitarist and singer Stephen Fagan learned his trade as Aras Chrónáin was established. He went on to record albums with the group Cúnla for Cló Iar Chonnachta and a solo album featuring well know Clare musicians Eoin O Neill, Mary Custy and Terry Bingham together with Bushplant.
In recent years he’s been busy playing regularly at the Dublin Musical Pub Crawl and the Irish House Party and cruising around the Canaries. Stephen has organised music for and with Kelly Clarkson, Reba McEntire, Mac Davis and a host of Nashville stars. He’s a much sought out session musician working with upwards of 80 different musicians per year in various bands.
Stephen has been invited by the National Concert Hall to perform at the Ireland Expo pavilion at the world Expo 2021 in Dubai in January
