Hear from some of the amazing cast & crew working on our annual Christmas Pantomime with The Rabbit’s Riot Theatre Company!
Grainne Colreavy playing Evie Fabulous!

This is my first time to take part in a panto. I’m very excited. I sat in the audience last year at the Panto at the Glens and wished that I was stuck in the middle of it.

It’s been over 20 years since I stepped onto the stage. In my much younger years however, I studied Speech & Drama with Mary McCormack and I really enjoyed taking part in plays and musicals at that time. Drama was my favourite past time as a teenager.

I am particularly looking forward to playing the character “Evie Fabulous”. She is a very interesting lady who knows what she wants and how to get it. I do hope that the audience is not shy about “chatting with” Evie during the show.

Although I am a very busy working mother of 3 children, between the ages of 9 and 17, I am so glad that I made the time to take part in the panto. It is such fun and I look forward to every rehearsal. The entire cast and crew is so talented and they are all the nicest people to work with.

Francis Keaney playing Chris Charming!

This year I have been lucky enough to be part of cast of Cinderella. I will be playing Chris Charming, a footballer who takes on the mission to find the girl with the golden boot. The most amazing part of the Christmas panto so far is getting to see the enthusiasm and excitement of the younger cast mates. We are truly seeing a new generation of actors and actresses emerge from Manorhamilton and it is vital that we have the facilities to structures in place to nurture this homegrown talent. This is my first show in three years and getting to perform for four shows is very exciting if not a little daunting at times. I have honestly being laughing from start to finish and this show is sure to kick start your Christmas. Getting to know the cast and their families has been a big part of rehearsals and now I cant wait to share the stage with some of Leitrims brightest stars.

Treasa Nealon the stressed out playwright!

Writing and working on this years pantomime Cinderella has been an absolute pleasure (if a little worrisome in regards to my increased caffeine intake!). Last year was my first time writing a pantomime and it was a challenge to create a world with a multitude of characters and to try fit in every panto cliche. Would you believe I almost forgot about the ‘Oh No She Didn’t!? Oh yes she bloody did!

This year however I could settle down and enjoy writing it! Creating such fun and eccentric characters is a blast, but seeing them come to life is even better.

Our wonderful cast is made up of members of our community – children from all three local primary schools to busy parents to even busier teenagers! Each and every one of them bring something special to the stage and their dedication over the last few months has been fantastic. This is a must-see fun-filled family friendly event and yes, I am completely bias!
